Yes, I want

as you spread your Light

When I realize life is short and it’s Valentines

The light within me greets the light within you🌼🌹

And because it was Valentines, I took a yoga class under candle lights. Actually with low lights. It felt like candles…

And the teacher was this gorgeous Goddess, that came out of a mystic place from Nirvana. Her velvet voice guiding the flow.🤷‍♂️💃

I hope you felt very special too.
Since a day like yesterday one’s can feel overwhelmed by joy or loneliness.

Whatever was your mood or celebration I got something for you.🌹

An inspiration from my heart to you.

Happy (delayed ) Valentines’ day!!

Life is short.
A drop, a grain of sand or a breeze in a cool Summer night.✨

I pray that
you enjoy those you love.
you enjoy your kindness and resilience.
you enjoy your open smile.
you enjoy those mundanes tasks that keep life sane.
you enjoy your presence.
you enjoy your words of wisdom.
you enjoy your responsibilities.
you enjoy those infectious belly laughter
’cause there will be tears too.

you enjoy your wild, silly, sexy, free spirit.
you enjoy your God given talents.
you enjoy your dogs, cats and other ones too!!

you enjoy the start line…we never know when the end is near.
you enjoy listening with your whole being.
you enjoy the fruits of your hard work (you deserve them.)
you enjoy those times you put yourself out there.
you enjoy your fire and dedication.
you enjoy the world around you.

You fall in love being YOU.😘

P.S. If there’s someone in your life who needs an appreciation note forward this onto them.

Yes, I want

as you spread your Ligth

What’s the choice that makes you happy?

Are you enjoying this kinda of Spring break? 🌼🌹

Hi there!

Maryland has been FOREVER cold…

Actually, I’ve never experienced a single digit temperature in my life before.⛄

Remember I’m that girl from Rio de Janeiro? The “garota de Ipanema” (the girl from Ipanema) walking down the beach under almost a 100oF. 😎

<< Test First Name >> I sprinted, as if my life depended on it, from the ‘calcadao’ (the side walk) to the wet sand.
in order to prevent blisters from popping up during the eternal 4-5 minutes stretch of sand the ocean of sand.

In fact this below freezing weather is kinda of cool.
First when I tell my friends in Brazil about the adventure of living in a freezer…cause it’s impossible to get out of the house for the fun of it.

I can see their jaws dropping and words of prayers flying over to heavens.
Their fears and swearing that they’d NEVER experience such a fate in life.

In such warm times the heart sings again. 💖

Yeah, it’s sad to admit that my mind lives in a past.
It horrifies my ideal self to say OUTLOUD:
“I live in a past everybody.” 😱

How could be any different?
How I’d function without knowing where those packs of Oreo or a can of spaghetti sauce are?

And… I trip on my preferences:
“Please give me a 🍧🤔
frapuccino machiatto with almond milk, double the caramel sauce and no whipping cream.
Unless your whipping cream is dairy free?

Size? Do you have a half grande?”
…’Cause it’s the right amount of calories I allow myself to consume.
in this indulgent (and unnecessary) treat.

“Let go” isn’t something the mind wants to do. It’s equal to death.
And who wants to die? To lose control?

Life exists on Earth ’cause it seeks survival above all things.

Don’t despair yet grasshopper…there is hope.

The good news is...well, there's lots of good news.

1. Admit uncertainty sucks!
I can see my grandiose junkie self vomiting: “Yes life give me more uncertainty. I want to look deep and spiritual.” nodding its head with a dignified flair. 🤪

It sounds so amazing when Ekhart Tole says:

(Oh by the way a fave quote)

“when one is comfortable with uncertainty, infinite possibilities opens up.”

This little self widens my eyes just like Rick Ricardo in "I Love Lucy."

Uncertainty is scary. It’s supposed to be scary. Survival is at stake.

Did I mean steak?
I’m entitled to have my version of steak (vegan steak, granola steak, real steak) on the table whenever cravings stop by to visit.

2. Don’t fight biology 🧠 🥴
Science is very clear: there is no point to duel with nature.
Biology always win.
I lost many arguments over hidden childhood beliefs, hormones level, neuron paths, hot flashes, lack of or overdose of insulin.Yes, in those instances my opinions how things should be or not, made no sense.
Yet, I admit this lack of will power will prevail unless I befriend the beast: in this case my mind.

3. Good habits are possible

And I’m thrilled to invite you to join me in this venture. Life is a mystery. Let’s explore it together. Holding hands.
Tip toeing to decipher the puzzles your brain is holding.

Start rehearsing your goodbyes to whatever is holding you back. 🙏
A BIG tchaw, sayonara, ate logo, au revoir!

Bad news and good news

which one do you want to hear first?

We ask these questions with the intent to give the bad news first knowing that the good news will off set the bad.

Hi there!

Here is the thing.
By now good intentions already sunk deep to the bottom of the Potomac river…or whatever body of water you live near.
The new year became the same old you know what…
The truth is we don’t need an official date to start something new.
We can begin a new and fresh habit anytime.

Like on a birthday or why not right now?

The bad news is that my mind doesn't want to.

Yeah, it’s sad to admit that my mind lives in a past.
It horrifies my ideal self to say OUTLOUD:

Are you a victim of perfectionism?

a lethal weapon

Hi there!

Perfectionism is a lethal weapon.

If you are a victim of it. Keep reading.

Over the years I developed a few… struggled to let go of a bunch. Few successes here, lots of failure there. I keep celebrating the small steps.🎈🎇🎈🎇

Here's to success! 🍸🍷

1. Journal…📓
It took me years to build a consistent routine. I’d write for awhile and stopped for months and months…

The gratitude thing kept me going. I love track numbers. Since I’m still recording my gratitude days…this writing affair is growing strong. I jot down on a paper whatever I’m grateful about. The mundane of all things. Number one is the house furnace. Try to live without one in this cold weather…⚡💧

Now I know the secret: Write before you know what to write. But it’s still a habit in that, most mornings, I sit down first thing and open it up. I know that the rest of my day will go better if I write a bunch of nonsense at the start of it.
At the very least, few words identifying annoyances… awareness… transformation.

Even Coconut does not want to face the weather

2. Walking the dog
When Coconut showed up in a hot day in mid June I needed to resurrect this habit. It faded away when Cavy, my black lab died. I’ll tell you it isn’t easy to step outside in a single digit temperature. Many times I’m saved by Coconut herself, who doesn’t want to face the cold or the rain either. I love that dog! 🐶💜
Now Summer time isn’t any better. The humidity is furious. Do I need a dog sitter? Yet, my heart is always glad I did.

Boy this is a hard one...

3. Getting things done as they come.
I’m not 100% with this. How do you enjoy your desk flooded with income mail every single day? Once open they reveal the most boring Adm work that you’ve got get done.

Like a call to the real estate commission or to the IRS. After you’ve been put on hold… FOREVER, an uninterested person answers on the other side of the line, and doesn’t understand my accent either. I wonder if she’s polishing her nails while talking on the phone.📞📠

I place those incoming letters at the bottom of the “to do pile.” ‘Til they show up screaming: “NEXT!”
Many times when I’m ready to tackle the task, the due date expired and I’m fighting not to get stressed and promise myself: “next time…”

Habits I'm still working on!

At least, I start each day with a good resolve and a bunch of deep breaths.

4. Drop the chocolate bites
Bad habit reacquired during the holiday season. All began with an innocent crunchy pack of potato chips. Yet, delicious it brought me heart burn. So I traded for ONLY “one bite” of chocolate after dinner. In the name of keeping healthy, ’cause “it’s good for you type of thing”, I choose dark chocolate with peanuts.

YeAh! The one bite grew into a whole tablet. And then a headache that follows. Well I cut it down to one single bite…Okay a few.
The headache still there so I’m working to let go of it completely.😨

5. House cleaning
Ah, the joy of  a clean house…like those pictured on Better Homes and Gardens.
Not mine for sure. After all these years… I’m still struggling to stick to a day on a calendar that I faithful perform: a so called “faxina” (a Brazilian cleaning style. We scrub the house from top to bottom in one day.)
There I am day dreaming of wearing a plaid apron with big side pockets, a cute pony tail, a fun song blasting on the smart phone, holding a mop, a cleaning cloth, swirling around the living room making all shine.

Nope...not me in my world.🤔

Everything takes precedence over squeegeeing the floors or dusting the furniture. I already contemplated purchasing a romba. But, I felt cheap to invest almost half thousand dollars on it.

When I’m in Conway, my hubby, happy, with his new toy, vacuums weekly. It seems so easy!!!
Now I’m back in Maryland. Who is going to volunteer? Well I guess I have to man up… some day.

Next habit I'm dreaming of

Working on it! Or, at least, I plan to start working on it.
I’m not sure what angel 🤷‍♂️ to call to help me perform such a miracle. Yet, it’s in my list. I accept suggestion if you have any.

I’ll keep you posted.

Much love💖, Megan

When forming a new habit struggle will you call a time out?

struggle and thrive...

Hi there!

Habits? What are the ones you’re working hard to create or others to maintain?

Some we dream of acquiring it. Like being coffee free. ☕
Actually I gave up on that one. It isn’t going to happen…at least in this life time.

Over the years I developed a few… struggled to let go of a bunch. Few successes here, lots of failure there. I keep celebrating the small steps.🎈🎇🎈🎇

When bragging your truth is the right thing to do

that time when my pooch was taken to the ER

Hi Gorgeous!

It’s Friday again.
Doesn’t it make you want to dance a tango on a red dress and white flower on your hair? 💃🌼

How are you spending this weekend?

exploring a new place around town?

chatting about the latest episode of house of cards in the nearest coffee shop?

I’m going to be bragging loud!!

I’m here nodding my head…not able to hide a smile of victory.

Victory of life over death…
And I mean it!!!

But first tell something you believed was possible against all odds...and you're right, you won the battle?

This whole victory feeling began with sucha
GOOD NEWS !!!!
Coconut’s blood test came back normal.

YEAH! I had no faith she’d survived when we took her to the emergency care poisoned by a dead mouse, over a month ago.

…and the vets weren’t encouraging AT ALL after seen her blood work.

There was my little puppy, dying before my eyes. Still sniffing here and there.
I bought into those words…I said my goodbyes.
I had my cries.

yet, the hero of this story showed up.

Not on a white horse, branding his sword into the air.
But with a scientific mind, seeking on Google late at night for a solution for this rare poison.

My hubby took the lead and believed it was possible to save little pooch. His attitude was contagious. (noticed I’m bragging about him?)

And we worked very hard, with our minds and emotions, they went wild, to have faith and keep our eyes on the outcome…

I silenced my mind and moved along.

And today…roll the drums please…
My heart’s still singing over a happy email with bold letters:

“Bloodwork and urynalysis look great!
All within normal limits.”

Sometimes the odds are against you.
It makes you dig deep INSIDE.
You know there is a place somewhere that trusts you’re doing the right thing.

At times life challenges all: finances, health, safety.
It lands like a hurricane. It spins around striping everything apart.
Who knows why?

Sometimes I imagine life is this immense polisher, who’s obsessed with his sanding machine.

Here’s the thing  whatever hurricane you’re in, trust yourself.

Don’t fall into that temptation: it’s too late, too this or too that!!!

Keep going my friend cause you’ve got this.

Once I heard my real estate mentor saying:

“the messier the situation…the better the story to tell.”

Yes, brag the hell out of it...

Now, all that said, go ahead and post below what you’re bragging about these days.

If you’re not bragging. Here is your chance. Don’t play humble…do some bragging!
Yes, brag the hell out of it…

Why?
It imprints your God given qualities. The world needs more of your bold moves more than ever.

So go ahead and brag BIG!

Let me cheer you on this.

Sending you so much love, Megan

Are you at risk of catching an emotional cold?

Greetings!

What is your fave place to hang around? That type of spot that brings you comfort. It fills you up with kinda of an emotional bowl of ice cream, maybe pecan pie for the soul if you’re dairy intolerant…

I love bookshops. B&N lives in my heart. I visit it when I’m craving a soul connection with the Universe!!

I’m addicted to keep browsing those bool shelves. Enjoying mixed smells of paper, glue, ink, dust and coffee.📚 ☕

I was 9 year old when I fell for a huge bookshop, covered with books of all kind. It was located next door to my mom’s apartment building.

Useless to say I spent few hours skimming magazines, comics, romances, word puzzles…You’ find me there after school every single day. Big brown eyes… hungry reader.

Well, I was at B & N today...

…doing my thing: checking the released titles for the new year.

Coconut, my puppy, was a bummer pulling me to meet whoever she saw.

Interrupting my serious affair…sniffing here and there.

Greeting everyone in the store. Giving them an emotional boost. 🐕💃
As if management hired her to make all customers feel welcome…and acquire a book or two.

Between one person and other thanking me for receiving Coconut’s attention. I juggled glancing over the titles on that big table at the front of the store.

Yes, a huge display made of heaven material.

I had to start breathing. My little girl, feeling in Disney world, was taking over and began throwing a tantrum for me to take those books home!!

Imagine all of your fave goodies seating right in front of you? You’d not resist either.

Best subjects on the planet: meditation, emotional detox, intentions, floral journals and that one at the corner of the table talking about empathy.

Empathy !?!

Ops… that one title made my eyes brows lift. Is it a new thing now or what?

That’s right, empathy is the newest trendy word.

An empathyc or a a high sensitive person (HSP), feels in their body everything other people are feeling.

It’s like catching a cold. You don’t see it, but feels the effect on your heart and mood.

These challenging vibes, other word for emotions, are low in vibration and rob vitality. ‘Cause it triggers our own unresolved emotional issues. 😱

Are you one of those people?
In case you’re nodding yes, with eyes as wide as a white cup saucer, discovering why you feel so uneasy when visiting Aunt Annie.

Rest assured, you’re not alone…

Empathycs of this world please take good care of yourself. Honor your own energy.

Know that your compassionate heart feels everything people around you’re feeling. 😔 💜

I invite you to replace your old perspective to a new way of being in life.
You ARE you period, and growing boundaries is essential.
so your body knows the difference between your energy and of those around you.

Than decide if you want to stick around and offer help or run miles away from that person or situation.

Here's how to get rid of that burden in 03 steps:

1) Connect with your body: Take few deep breathes.

Stand up legs parallel to each other: feel your toes, sole and arch of your feet against the floor.
Place your hands on the heart (continue deep breathing)

  • Name how your body feels out loud: tension on my shoulders, my heart feels contracted, heaviness, difficult to breathe“, and so on.

2) Let go of that low frequency: Set a clear intention to release those negative vibes.
I know this next one may feel weird (make sure no one is watching you.)

  • While standing with feet parallel, shake each one of your joints for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • You may repeat: “I let go…it is not mine. I offer to the Earth.”

Yes, the electromagnetic field of the Earth can take care of that for you (more of that scientific facts some other day) .

3) Visualize a bright light enveloping and protecting you.

  • Affirm that your essence is pure light and love. This is who you are babe. Affirm it even if you doubt my words.
  • Your real self, deep within you, knows the truth. and it’s waiting for your invitation.

unconditional love

To love you unconditionally 💖💕😘

Don’t internalized that stuff your body is picking up.

You have a choice. In each moment.
Choose to restore harmony in your emotions, body and mind.

If you want to have few sessions with me to learn how to release this stuff send me an email.

You’ll be glad you did!!
